Privacy Policy

This page describes our actual practices. It is not legal advice.

Last updated: September 19, 2026.

1. Who We Are

Jackson Moving and Storage (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a family-owned moving company based at 118 N Liberty St, First floor, Jackson, TN 38301. We have served homes and businesses across Jackson, Madison County, Medina, Humboldt, Milan, Trenton, Brownsville, Lexington, Bolivar, and West Tennessee since 2020.

Phone: (731) 215-0142. Hours: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit jacksonmovingandstoragetn.com (the “Site”), request a quote, call or text us, or use our moving services. It applies to the Site and to information you give us by phone, text, email, or in person about a move. It does not apply to third-party websites we may link to.

The Site is operated by Jackson Moving and Storage. We do not offer user accounts, online payment, or a customer portal.

2. Information You Give Us

You may give us personal information when you fill out a quote form on the Site, call or text us, email us, or book a move. We only ask for what we need to respond and do the job.

Quote forms on the Site collect:

  • Full name, phone number, and email address (required)
  • Moving-from and moving-to ZIP codes (optional)
  • Preferred move date (optional)
  • Home or job size (optional)
  • How you heard about us (optional on some forms)
  • Anything else you type in the message field (optional)

If you call, text, or speak with us in person, we may also note pickup and delivery addresses, stairs or access details, specialty items, and other facts needed to quote or schedule the move.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, or login credentials on the Site. Do not send cash, jewelry, or other high-value items, and do not describe them in the quote form, unless we ask for those details to plan the job.

3. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, our web server and analytics tool may collect limited technical information, such as:

  • Pages viewed, referring page, and time on the Site
  • Browser type, device type, and general location derived from IP address
  • Whether the visit came from a phone, tablet, or computer

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand which pages are useful. Umami is configured without advertising cookies and without selling visitor data. We use this information in aggregate to improve the Site, not to build a marketing profile of you.

Quote forms include a hidden honeypot field and a WordPress security nonce so we can reject automated spam. We do not treat honeypot contents as personal information, and we do not use them for any purpose other than blocking bots.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to quote and service requests
  • Call, text, or email you about your inquiry or booking
  • Estimate, schedule, and coordinate your move
  • Prepare moving documents and communicate on moving day
  • Prevent spam and abuse of the Site
  • Understand how the Site is used and fix problems
  • Comply with law, insurance, and record-keeping duties

By submitting a quote form you agree we may contact you by call, text, or email about that request. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not send unrelated promotional mail. We do not sell your personal information.

5. When We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the business:

  • Lead and job management. Quote requests are sent to Movegistics, the CRM we use to capture and manage moving leads, so our office can follow up.
  • Website hosting and analytics. Our website host and Umami process technical data so the Site can run and so we can see anonymous usage.
  • Service partners. If a job requires a partner (for example, a long-distance carrier or a storage location we arrange), we share only what that partner needs to perform their part of the move.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, our crew, or other people.

Those providers process information on our behalf or as independent businesses with their own practices. We do not authorize them to use your details for their own advertising.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may set cookies or similar storage that are needed for basic functions, such as submitting a quote form (including a security nonce) and remembering display preferences. These are not used to advertise to you on other websites.

Umami analytics is loaded in the footer of the Site. It is not an advertising pixel, and we do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar ad-tracking tools on the Site today.

We do not show a cookie banner because we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking all cookies may keep a quote form from submitting.

If we later add advertising or additional tracking, we will update this Policy and, where required, add a cookie notice.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a Do Not Track (“DNT”) setting. There is no common industry standard for honoring DNT signals. The Site does not currently respond to DNT. If a standard we must follow is adopted, we will describe it in an updated version of this Policy.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We keep quote and customer information only as long as we need it to respond to your request, complete the move, handle follow-up questions or claims, and meet legal, tax, and insurance requirements. Spam and incomplete form submissions may be discarded sooner.

You may ask us to delete information we hold about you. We will do so unless we must keep a record (for example, a completed job, a claim, or a legal hold).

9. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including HTTPS on the Site, spam traps on the quote forms, and access limited to people who need the information to do their work.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a phone call if you prefer not to send details through the form.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our services and the Site are intended for adults arranging a move. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not offer accounts or content directed at children.

If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, call us at (731) 215-0142. We will delete it.

11. Your Rights

You may ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Stop contacting you about a quote you no longer want

Call (731) 215-0142 or write to the address below. We will respond to reasonable requests in line with applicable law. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.

12. California Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (Shine the Light) lets California residents request, once per year and free of charge, information about personal information we disclosed to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. If you are a California resident and want to make a Shine the Light request, call or write to us using the contact details in Section 16 and say that you are making a California Shine the Light request.

This Site does not sell personal information. We do not currently meet the thresholds for a full California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA notice. If that changes, we will post the additional disclosures the law requires.

13. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, Google reviews or map tools). Those sites have their own privacy policies. This Policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for their practices. Review their policies before you provide information there.

14. International Visitors

We are based in Tennessee and serve customers in the United States. The Site is not directed at the European Union, United Kingdom, or other non-U.S. jurisdictions. If you visit from outside the United States, you understand that your information is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new form, analytics tool, or payment method. Changes take effect when posted on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the Site after a change is posted means you accept the updated Policy.
